This energetic set is one of our current favourites, arranged and taught to us by Shetland fiddling legend Ross Couper and his multi-instrumentalist musical partner, Tom Oakes, who came to Melbourne as part of the MSFC Travelling Fiddlership. The set is high octane from start to finish, with Phil Cunningham’s Cathcart leading into Apo Fetlar Top, a tune composed by Norway’s Vidar Skrede after encountering some quite aggressive birds on a hilltop on Fetlar, Shetland.
